Runnin' Hot level design (2021) made in Unreal Engine

Runnin' Hot Level Design (2021) Professional Project made in Unreal Engine
This is my biggest project yet. I worked full time as an outside help with Team Ramen Thieves' game called "Runnin' Hot". It is an arcade-y action platformer, inspired by Sonic & 3D Mario games, SSX3 and Geometry Dash.
I was assigned as the team's level designer, but I also worked on general game design aspects, production and I was responsible for video submissions and editing.

Inspired by the vision of my team lead Elizabet Tyaneva (https://twitter.com/LemonzieElixir), working closely with our concept/2D artist Shauna Steel (https://twitter.com/mushroomwitch10) and our animator/3D artist Ben Peake I was able to achieve a challenging platformer that keeps the player engaged and pushes them to improve.
Thanks to the work of our programmers Lyubomir Aleksiev, Luke Andrew MacInnes and Luiz Felipe I was able to create a synergy between the level design and the platforming mechanics (sliding, wall running, double jumping and speed boosting).
Last, but certainly not least Fergus Robson (https://soundcloud.com/fergus-robson) provided us with an amazing sound track that captured the vibe of the game flawlessly.
Observations
During my time working on Runnin' Hot, I noticed I was able to hone my skill in creating a level that fit the mechanics and aesthetics, and that provided the desired level of challenge to the player. Through many live playtests I was able to obtain very valuable information on how the players felt about the level, controls, speed, mechanics and many other aspects that I had to closely work on to make sure the level felt balanced and not impossible. This is my second time working on a platforming game, so I hope I'll be able to work on an even bigger project soon.
